Having spent our first night in the mountains at Phakding (2610m) we set off to climb up to Namche Bazzar (3340m) the Sherpa capital of the Khumbu Region. The path stays close to the Dudh Koshi (Imja Kola) River for most of the way passing through pretty villages, crossing and recrossing the river several times on suspension bridges until it finally rises steeply through the forest up to Namche.
We arrived at out Hotel......The Hill Ten!
9th Oct.........
2 nights in Namche to help with our acclimatisation, so a quick walk over to The Everest View Hotel for coffee and cakes for our first real view of Everest............
