Having retreated from Lobuche down to Pangboche through the snow and rain we stayed for 2 nights at the lodge under the shadow of Ama Dablam, drying our gear and exploring the village and coffee/cake shop next door to the lodge. It was nice to stay put after being on the move for the last few days.
We were treated to some wonderful night time views of Ama Dablam, shining like a snowy beacon against a backdrop of the starry night sky is a sight few of us will forget.
