August 3rd.......Ingleborough and Whernside
With our departure for our Everest Base Camp trek for
St Michaels Hospice getting closer today we headed out for another training walk over two of the "Three Peaks" Ingleborough and Whernside.
With quite a few of the team on their hols there was just the 4 of us braving the sunshine!

The climb up to the summit of Ingleborough was accompanied with a few annoying little showers but as we progressed the weather was perfect, and the day ended in lovely sunshine back at the Station for a well earned drink.

June 29th.......Pen-y-Ghent........
Today was our first day out together, before our trek to Everest Base Camp in aid of
St Michaels Hospice (Harrogate) We set off from from Horton in Ribblesdale and walked over Pen-y-Ghent and then down to Hull Pot with "Seven Summit" mountaineer and climber Tim Ralph, who joined us for the day with lots of great stories of his exploits from the high mountains.
The weather was perfect with a cooling breeze to stop us over heating, and we were down before the forecast rain arrived.
